Just back from Lapland on 15th Feb. Stayed for 7 days in the Yllas Log Cabins (Yllasvikko). The cabin, if not a little far from the village centre was amazing, a home from home (I only wish I had a sauna back here in the U.K!) very warm and comfortable. The village itself is only quite small but has everything needed for a good holiday with a great supermarket. We went in Julli's bar for drinks and ate at the Pipola restaurant. Whilst pricey, both are nice, just make sure you have a big appetite if you are going to eat at Julli's, the portions are HUGE! As for the amenities, again, fantastic. Ski bus always there at the Akas promptly to take you up to the slopes. I boarded for the week, my partner skied, both of us thought the slopes were great, uncrowded, didn't need to queue once! Slopes are very wide and excellent for all abilities with some good challenging red runs. Overall a brilliant place, friendly, beautiful, great for the kids, can get cold, but highly reccommended!!
