Great location, clean room, good service and good breakfast. Definitely worth the $150 a night that I paid including breakfast compared to other rates I saw in the area.

There was some construction going on in the Grass Market, but it was not too inconvenient. There was easy walking access to the castle and the royal mile! Lots of great pubs and restaurants within walking distance.

My room with a balcony and view of the castle was lovely!

I also loved that they had nice shampoos and body wash. There was even hot chocolate in the room for the non coffee/tea drinkers.

Location perfect for sightseeing. Breakfasting with such a wonderful view of the castle was a great experience. We found all the staff exceptionally polite and friendly. Would definitely stay there again when visiting Edinburgh

The Apex International is a good hotel. The rooms were quite large and clean. The view of the castle was lovely

We ate in the Heights Restaurant. The food was good but the service could have been better. Not once during the meal was our wine and water topped up.

The location was good and the castle and princes street were within walking distance, although the area is very hilly and you do have to climb up quite a few steps. On a couple of occasions we got a taxi which was about £4

Just in front of the hotel there are some roadworks. The drilling started early in the morning and didn't finish until lunchtime.

I would definately stay there again - but only after the roadworks have finished!

Excellent clean modern hotel which is located below Edinburgh Castle (fantastic view of the castle from the hotel). Staff were very helpful right from the beginning whether it be for directions, restaurants etc. Located in Grassmarket (old town) and is less than 10 minutes walk from Princes Street. Didnt get to use the hotel swimming pool as they were testing the chlorine that morning but it was 10am on a Monday morning so understandable! Make sure to do the edinburgh bus tour on one of your first days there (goes from waverley quay) as you can then see what attractions you would like to visit. Overall excellent 3 night stay in Edinburgh - apex international hotel definately a good choice.

Slechts 1 nachtje hier geweest, maar we komen een volgende keer zeker weer terug! Goed uitgeruste kamers, mooi en modern qua uiterlijk. Super uitzicht op Edinburgh castle vanuit de kamer en vanuit de ontbijtzaal.

Tevens uitgerust met spa/zwembad, echter geen tijd gehad om dat uit te proberen.

Het is een fantastisch hotel om in te verblijven!! De kamers zijn zeer compleet en zeer mooi en modern ingericht! Het ontbijt wordt geserveerd in het restaurant op de 5de verdieping wat een prachtig uitzicht beidt aan het Edinburgh Castle! Ook het avondeten is erg smakelijk! Er is keuze uit zeer goede wijnen. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en zeer proffesioneel! Ik heb een heel erg prettig en leuk verblijf gehad in het hotel! Het is echt een aanrader!!!!!
