We have travelled from London to El Questro 7 of the last 8 years. It is absolutely amazing. We stay in the Homestead, which has only 12 rooms though doesn't take kids under 12. (Given the atmosphere and what it offers, this is probably a good thing.) Surroundings, service, food, wine and 'things to do' are wonderful. The rest of the property includes chalet and camping accomodation, which is much more child friendly. Nightlife is fab (at the Homestead) if you like dining by candlelight, under the Milky Way, looking over a billion+ year old river and land while listening to the owls barking and watching the salt water croc laze through the fish and turtles. We have stayed at more than half of the other top resorts in Aus and this is by far our favourite. Well worth the visit.
